wertmarke convinces Darboven! | 20.05.2008
The Hamburg branding and design agency wertmarke has developed the first overall brand identity and packaging design for the new organic spices under the brand name Eilles. The aim was to integrate the new range of 62 spices in organic quality with its three product groups ("The Creative", "The Refined", "The Best in 100 Percent") into the exquisite Eilles range and the special colour scheme of the Eilles products. Apart from the packaging design, wertmarke developed the communication at the POS, a product folder and various advertising motifs.
The basic design idea was an exclusive and elegant brand identity that clearly differentiates the organic spices in the Eilles world of product and at the same time emphasises their originality, especially in comparison with the competition. This is achieved by using an exclusive tin in collectors’ quality that, with its saffron yellow colour and its metallic gloss, its elegant lettering and a sensual visualisation, already creates a product experience even before buying. Loose spices left whole are offered in bags. “We have created a modern and at the same time traditionally elegant identity for the organic spices that goes well with the brand Eilles as a purveyor to the Royal Bavarian court,” Tim Hacker-Wilberg, managing director of wertmarke explains.
With its new range of spices, Eilles wishes to offer its customers top-quality ingredients for private cooking delights and ease preparation of even sophisticated dishes by means of diverse spice blends. From ecological cultivation to gentle processing, a protective packaging and short transport routes, everything is done to retain the ingredients. Thus, Eilles manages to present spices in organic peak quality. “Biological cultivating partners, who gain quality of life through fair prices, belong just as much to our concept as uncompromising quality and purity, and it goes without saying that no genetic technology is applied, as demanded by the EU organic seal. With this range a personal ambition of mine, i.e. to integrate exquisite spices in the Eilles product world, has been fulfilled”, Eilles proprietor, Albert Darboven, emphasises.
The Munich traditional company is now presenting its organic spices for the first time in is new Landshut branch. They will gradually be introduced in other shops. Eills is particularly well-known in South Germany for its selected coffee and tea specialities as well as confectionery and wine. Eilles currently operates around 50 shops in the south, other openings are planned.
